Prof. Guido Palazzo

Guido Palazzo is Assistant Professor of Business Ethics at HEC, University of Lausanne (since 2003).


Educational Background
He studied business administration at the University of Bamberg/Germany and holds a PhD in political philosophy from the University of Marburg/Germany (1999).
Guido Palazzo teaches master students at HEC Lausanne, MBA students at the Universities of Lausanne, Fribourg, Nottingham and INSEAD and executives of leading German and Swiss corporations in the areas of business ethics and CSR. He is responsible for the ethics programme at the Corporate University of Volkswagen in Germany.
His research is focusing on CSR, leadership ethics, political theory, branding theory and global governance. He widely published in business ethics, political theory and CSR in world-leading management journals such as the Academy of Management Review. He was a finalist of the Carol Dexter Best International Paper Award 2005 at the Academy of Management conference in Honolulu.
Guido Palazzo consults on business ethics, CSR and brand management at numerous companies such as Deutsche Telekom, Baloise, eplus, Hochtief, MAN, betapharm, PWC, Hewlett Packard.
